The Promotion Marketing Association (PMA) announced today the finalists for its REGGIE awards, the highest honor in integrated marketing. Winners, including the SUPER REGGIE, will be announced during the REGGIE Gala Awards dinner, part of the PMA's Annual Integrated Marketing Conference, at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago on March 10th.
"The judges had a particularly big challenge this year—in fact one judge said, 'we have an embarrassment of riches' when referring to the finalists," says Bonnie Carlson, president of the PMA. "So many entries had unique and innovative twists, flawless execution, and impressive results."
For the first time, The PMA will also recognize the REGGIE All-Stars, composed of marketers and agencies that have won multiple REGGIES since the competition started in 1983. In addition, the new Kiss & Text award will be given to one of the nine finalists from the national consumer campaign categories that best embodies the marketing adage, "Keep It Simple Stupid!" Attendees will vote for the Kiss & Text award by texting their choice during the conference. The winner will be named at the REGGIE Gala Awards dinner.
Among the GOLD REGGIE winners, the SUPER REGGIE is chosen by a Blue Ribbon Panel, which is comprised of industry leaders, visionaries and pioneers in integrated marketing. In addition, all REGGIE winners will be automatically entered into the Globes, an international competition honoring the best promotion and integrated marketing campaigns in the world. Drawn from winners in over 25 participating countries, the Globes partner with one awards program per country, so the only way to win a Globe in the U.S. is by winning a REGGIE.
