ToutApp, a San Francisco company focused on helping sales teams boost performance through increased efficiency and productivity of email, recently added a celebration gong to its sales acceleration platform. When a deal is done, a salesperson clicks the gong icon and the entire team is notified electronically. The Gong is available through an easily accessible icon inside of Gmail, Outlook, and Salesforce, and automatically updates closed deals to CRM systems.
As early as the 6th century B.C., the gong has been used in cultures across the globe as a signal for celebration. But the significance of the gong goes deeper than that:
- Share success with the team. Banging the gong at the end of a deal will give salespeople a personal celebration at their desk and alert team members of the win.
- Learn from closed deals. Through ToutApp data, salespeople can track and see the exact emails that were used to close the deal, providing a more complete understanding of how a deal comes together from start to finish.
- Foster competition. The natural “soldier” instincts kick in when deals are closed. The gong reinforces that a win is achievable and keeps everyone fighting for it.
