Gallup Joins Effort to Promote Engagement

The Enterprise Engagement Alliance (EEA) has announced that Gallup is joining its coalition and will be presenting research at its upcoming Expo. The EEA, founded by Washington, D.C.-based Human Capital Institute, is a group of companies and associations dedicated to research and the promotion of engagement as an important business tool. Gallup has conducted research on customer and employee behavior for more than a decade, some of which demonstrates that companies with strong engagement see significant financial benefits as a result.

This research will be used to help support the EEA’s message that engagement and broad, long-term efforts to strengthen employee and customer commitment, have value for a company’s bottom line—and that many companies still are not giving engagement the attention it deserves.

“We are proud to be able to add to the compelling body of research that shows how engagement in all its various forms and functions can help enhance the performance and profitability of companies that understand its unique transformative power,” says Larry Emond, Gallup’s chief marketing officer in a statement. “We look forward to working with other members of EEA to make sure that message is understood by Corporate America.”

Gallup’s senior managing partner, Kevin McConville, will share this research and the company’s perspective on engagement at a special luncheon on Tuesday, May 12, at the Hilton New York Hotel. The event is part of the Enterprise Engagement Expo, which is held in conjunction with the annual New York Incentive, Rewards & Recognition Show.

Allan Schweyer, executive director of the Human Capital Institute, notes in a statement that, “In this economy, organizations will have no choice but to find the most efficient ways to capture the loyalty of customers and better manage their businesses, and more than ever the answer relies on effective people and talent management which are the manifestation of a company’s brand. Gallup has a great deal to contribute related to helping businesses better understand the link between customer engagement, employee engagement and financial success.”
