Ad Vet Opens Marketing Agency

Alan Epstein, a 25-year veteran in the advertising business and former partner at Adamson Advertising, opened a new St. Louis-based marketing services organization called The Epstein Group. Clients work within a flexible business model with a marketing organization designed to match their needs, receiving and paying only for the specific resources they want.

Epstein has supervised and developed a variety of clients in his career, cultivating long-term relationships with companies including the St. Louis Cardinals, On the Run by Mobil, Dalco Home Improvement, Save-A-Lot, Logan’s Roadhouse Restaurants, and Shoe Carnival. At Adamson, he oversaw the agency’s business development and marketing programs, as well as supervised several consumer and retail clients. He has extensive experience in broadcast media, franchise, convenience store, and food service marketing.

Epstein left Adamson in September when the agency was sold to Barkley, a Kansas City-based advertising agency. Prior to joining Adamson, he was the second-largest shareholder at Kupper Parker Communications. Earlier in his career Epstein worked as an account executive for KPLR-TV in St. Louis; KQTV-TV in St. Joseph, MO; and KCBJ-TV in Columbia, MO.

Currently, Epstein sits on the new business committee of the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) and serves as vice president and board member of St. Louis Men’s Group Against Cancer, an organization that has raised more than $3 million to help cancer victims and their families through research, prevention, and care.
