Motorola Announces New EDA

Motorola has announced the newest addition to its line of enterprise digital assistants, the MC55. Designed for mobile workers, the MC55 EDA combines a cell phone, two-way radio, bar code scanner, digital camera, and mobile computer into a compact, lightweight unit. It comes equipped with wireless WAN (WWAN), wireless LAN (WLAN), and Bluetooth to support workers in the field, in addition to being VoIP-enabled. The MC5590 EDA is expected to be available in North America and globally in the second quarter of 2009.
