A key part of sales and marketing alignment is building strong communication between the two groups. His tips for improving communication include:
• Have sales and marketing meet frequently.
HubSpot holds weekly meeting to update both teams on what the other is doing.
• Build multiple relationships between sales and marketing.
Don’t settle for the strongest relationship between the two sides being VP to VP. Build strong relationships at multiple levels.
• Mix marketing and sales desks together.
You want sales to see what marketing does day in and day out, and vice versa.
