Persistence pays off…eventually

Different sales styles can be successful, but one common denominator among top sales performers is persistence.

Persistence, says self-discipline expert Rory Vaden (RoryVaden.com), is partly the result of a longer-term perspective. People who lack persistence only think short term. The one pivotal belief that persistent ultra-performers have that many people don’t: You always get paid for how hard you work. Sometimes now, oftentimes later, but always eventually.

When most people run into rejection they immediately count their endeavor as not worth it. When ultra-performers run into rejection, however, they know that their short-term sacrifices are just down payments on rich future blessings. Ultra-performers know that sometimes you get paid in what you earn and other times you get paid in what you learn.
